ATATURK MUSEUM ROOM

EXPERIENCE OF AN ERA

THE GREAT LEADER ATATURK

Room 101 is known as the room where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk stayed in the hotel. During the most critical periods, the decisions which were of great importance for the country were taken during his time at the hotel.

The history of Pera Palace Hotel has a deep-rooted experience that attaches meaning to the future. In the 130-year history of the hotel, there have been many prominent names in the rooms. Agatha Christie, Alfred Hitchcock, Queen II. Elizabeth, Greta Garbo, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Shah Reza Pehlevi and many actors, directors, politicians and writers. It is also possible to stay in the rooms where these names were once guests. However, there is one name, his place of our hearts and the history of our country is different.

Atatürk also hosted many of his guests here. Room 101, which was home to the most significant experiences of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and our history, was converted into a museum room on the 100th anniversary of his birth. His personal belongings, books, gifts are given to him, newspapers and magazines of the period are exhibited here.

Room 101, exhibiting the traces of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, preserving the splendour of that period with its grandeur and opening its gates to travel in time; can be visited by everyone between 10.00-11.00 and 15.00-16.00 every day at Pera Palace Hotel.
