The Black Week Festival is an event that combines various cultural city activities related to crime literature and is celebrated with similar names in different cities of the world. The festival, known as Novela Negra in Barcelona and Buenos Aires, was held for the first time in our country on October 22-24, 2015, with the 125th birthday of Agatha Christie, aka “The queen of the detective novel”. The hosting venue, which is celebrated with the participation of local and foreign police writers, is the Pera Palace Hotel, one of the most valuable historical buildings of Istanbul.<\/p>\n

In addition to this, the sessions titled, “Alfred Hitchcock is 120 years old”, “Cing\u00f6z Recai at Pera Palace”, “Cinema in Crime, Cinema in Crime”, “Crimes of the Future”, “Extraordinary Murderers and Detectives”, “Police on Both Side of the Aegean”, “Northern European\u00a0 Policemen” will take place.<\/p>\n

The 5th Black Week Istanbul Festival also has a surprise: Crime Story Competition!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Black Week Istanbul Festival will organize a story competition dedicated to its fifth year. Participants of the Black Week Istanbul Crime Story Competition, which was held to attract the attention of young people to crime literature and whose applications ended on September 1, will consist of young people under the age of 30. On the other hand, important names of our writing such as Ahmet \u00dcmit, Algan Sezgint\u00fcredi, El\u00e7in Poyrazlar, Ay\u015fe Erbulak and Adnan \u00d6zer will be included in the selection committee.<\/p>\n

Vapur Kitap Yayinlari will publish the nine short story which won the competition. The winner of the competition will be hosted at Pera Palace Hotel as the guest of Black Week Istanbul.
