The fact that technology is developing every day and becoming so much a part of our lives makes it inevitable for art to change and move to digital environments. Digital art is increasingly securing its place in the contemporary art world by benefitting from the opportunities that are provided by technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

The birth of digital art dates back to the late 1960s, when computer use became widespread. During these years, computers were also used in graphic design and art production. This situation offered a new artistic platform to the artists of the period, and it gradually started to attract attention. The first products of this art movement were graphics, patterns, simple geometric shapes and patterns that were created on computer screens. However, despite attracting attention in the 1960s and 1970s, it was not recognized and fully accepted by the majority due to the low prevalence and popularity of technology at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the 1980s, personal computer use began to increase. In these years, the development of technology and its reflection on graphic programs offered artists effective and comfortable production methods for digital art. In the period when new forms of digital art emerged, the spread and recognition of this art form increased significantly. The first digital art gallery was opened in New York in 1986, and other galleries followed.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the 1990s, the pace of development of technology and the popularity of digital art continued to increase unabated. Artists now started to produce deeper and more fascinating works by using computer programs and other advanced technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, it is possible to say that digital art has never been this popular before. Technology is now in a constant development process, and this brings much more complicated techniques and forms to digital art. Artists today push the limits of their imagination with the help of countless digital tools, from tablets to advanced cameras, from virtual reality to augmented reality, as well as computers. For this reason, we can say that the digital artworks that we have today are more original and profound than ever before. It is also possible to say that digital art will play an important role in the art world of the future and its development will continue.<\/span><\/p>\n
